What kind of surveys can I implement with Blue/Surveys?   


Blue is a 100% Web-based application that anyone can access with a Web browser, an internet connection, and the appropriate login credentials. After approximately two hours of training, a typical end-user can create surveys for their own use. This allows for almost limitless possibilities for Blue/Surveys. Here are a few examples:
  • Research teams can perform population studies/market research online
  • Human Resources can conduct climate surveys
  • Departments and committees can survey within their groups on decisions
Anyone who has been given the appropriate level of permission can create, launch, manage, and view reports on a survey project, all without taxing IT resources. You set the permission levels you want for various levels of your organization.

What types of questions can I have?   


You have a wide variety of survey question types available to you. Responders can answer questions that require a single or multiple responses, using drop-down lists, radio buttons, tables, check box lists, comments boxes, numerical text boxes, date selections, and rating scales.


How does a 100% Web-based solution benefit us?   


Blue/Surveys is fully Web-based, as opposed to other similar applications, which are only partially Web-based. This means users never need plug-ins, Active-X controls, or upgrades anytime they access the application.

It lowers your costs tremendously, as your IT department only maintains and upgrades a single machine, as opposed to every computer, laptop, and workstation that accesses it.

It increases availability. Any end-user, whether they are a member, non-member, staff, executive, customer, prospect, etc. needs only a Web browser (such as Explorer) and login credentials to use Blue.


How different is Blue/Surveys from other similar software?   


Blue/Surveys is 100% web-based, as opposed to only partially web-based (see above).

Blue/Surveys provides powerful survey creation and reporting capabilities, as it allows you to easily access data you keep in your organization. Instead of manually creating an invitation list every time someone creates a survey, he/she simply selects from a list of available categories. Your organization might keep such categories as age group, geography, annual income, employment status, position, department, and so on. Blue taps into the data you already keep, so you aren't reinventing the wheel every time you create a survey.

The same applies for creating reports. You can analyze your data by segmenting results according to these different categories. This provides more meaningful data and greater understanding.

Because Blue accesses data within your organization, your surveys don't ask redundant questions such as name, ID, year, department. And shorter, more efficient questionnaires increase rates of response.

Blue/Surveys also has convenient features such as event-triggered surveys (surveys that are automatically sent after an event occurs) and recurring surveys (surveys sent according to a pre-defined schedule).

What do the surveys look like?   


Blue surveys are fully customizable, so you can use the logo and colors of your organization in your surveys.


Is Blue/Surveys a hosted (ASP) or fully integrated solution?   


Either option is available, however, we highly recommend you install Blue on your IT premises. This ensures greater security, as collected data remains behind your firewall, and you own and have full control over your sensitive data. It also facilitates and expedites the distribution and collection of surveys.


Are Blue/Surveys secure and confidential?   


Yes. Blue/Surveys connects to your current authentication source, providing the highest possible security you have available. It also allows you to set authentication levels: respondents can either login using their login credentials (which provides maximum security), or simply launch the application straight from their email invitation (which provides more convenience).

You have the option to set answers as confidential or not. If set, Blue/Surveys displays only aggregate or averaged responses, so no one can know who answered how. In addition, Blue automatically hides any category that shows less than five members, so viewers cannot deduce how individuals have responded when a response population is small.


Can I set authentication levels?   


Yes. Blue allows you to set authentication levels for varying levels of access to survey creation and reporting capability on those surveys.
