The University of Ottawa Selects Blue as its Campus-Wide Course Evaluation System

Montreal, Canada – September 3, 2015 – The University of Ottawa (UOttawa) has selected Blue as its comprehensive course evaluation system to improve the teaching and learning experience. Transitioning from a homegrown system, the university requires a powerful online solution that can help increase accessibility and response rates.

As the largest bilingual university in the world, UOttawa chose Blue as it meets their stringent language requirements. With Blue, the institution is ready to offer a seamless course evaluation experience in both English and French. Another key deciding factor was Blue’s ability to integrate seamlessly with the university’s current and future IT systems.

In particular, UOttawa will integrate Blue with their student information and learning management systems, PeopleSoft and Blackboard Learn™. This integration will enable the institution to synchronize information, automate processes, and quickly generate detailed reports. By embedding course evaluations directly in Blackboard Learn, the university will help increase LMS traffic, student and faculty engagement, and response rates.

Established in 1848, The University of Ottawa is a bilingual research university where students can study in English, French, or both languages. Consistently ranked as one of the top universities, UOttawa offers over 450 programs spanning 10 faculties. Known for its innovative research, the institution is ranked among Canada’s top 10 research universities for its breakthroughs in health, science, social sciences, and the humanities.
