CUNY Graduate School of Journalism Selects Blue to Smoothly Transition Course Evaluations Online

Montreal, Canada – October 1, 2015 – CUNY Graduate School of Journalism has selected Blue as its powerful all-in-one assessment system to fully manage and automate course evaluations. This deal represents Explorance’s first course evaluation implementation within the CUNY system following Brooklyn University’s acquisition of Bluepulse earlier in the year.

Moving from paper to online, CUNY Graduate School of Journalism requires an adaptable solution that can integrate with its current IT systems and accommodate different levels of evaluation. With Blue, the school can leverage its data within Banner® by Ellucian and Blackboard Learn™ to automate processes, synchronize information, and produce detailed reports. Blue’s inherent flexibility will enable CUNY Graduate School of Journalism to tailor questions, forms, and reports to reflect all teaching and learning priorities at various levels. Key for the institution is Blue’s ability to easily generate reports that can cross-tabulate student demographics with response data to uncover relationships.

Located in New York City, the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism opened in 2006 with a commitment to blend traditional journalistic values with new forms of storytelling that embrace digital technology. Home to approximately 250 students, the school offers multimedia-focused Master of Arts degrees in journalism, entrepreneurial journalism, and social journalism in the heart of the nation’s media capital. The school’s mission is to prepare students from a broad range of economic, racial, and ethnic backgrounds to produce high-quality journalism in a time of rapid change.
